Oregon Aero’s new SoftSeat cushions for the TBM 700 and 850 come in every upholstery style and color that Daher-Socata offers for the turboprop singles. It also comes in a version with a sheepskin top, as seen in this photo.

Oregon Aero (Booth No. A40-42), makers of comfort seat augmentation and custom upholstery for dozens of aircraft, is introducing its SoftSeat Posture cushions cut specifically for the Daher-Socata TBM 700 and 850 turboprop singles this week at the Sun ’n Fun Fly-in in Lakeland, Fla. The cushions, custom fit for pilot-right, pilot-left, forward- and rear-facing passenger positions, are available in every upholstery style and color that Daher-Socata offers for its aircraft interiors. The Scappoose, Ore.-based company also offers the cushions with a sheepskin top and leather sides in four colors.

Style aside, the cushions’ primary purpose is to enhance the comfort of their users by shifting their hips, pelvis and back into the proper, pain-free position. The visco-elastic heat-sensitive foam forms to body shape and weight to eliminate hot spots, as well as the burning and tingling sensations that can come from sitting still on long flights. OregonAero said the high-quality foam is resilient and durable, retaining its shape and consistency for years. Cushions are priced at $549 for crew cushions and $529 for passenger cushions. Customers should check with their TBM owners group for promotions or discounts.
