Ameco Beijing has obtained an AS/EN9100 certificate of registration issued by SAI Global validating that it operates a quality management system that complies with the requirements of ISO 9001:2008+AS9100C, EN9100:2009, in the scope of design and manufacturing of installation kits for aircraft modification and cabin parts. The AS/EN9100 is a widely adopted and standardized quality management system suited for design, development and manufacturing in the aerospace industry.
Beijing Aircraft Maintenance and Engineering (Ameco), located at Beijing Capital International Airport, introduced its “Silk Road” interior design for Airbus ACJ320s today at ABACE in Shanghai. The design uses cultural elements taken from different regions along the Silk Road of ancient China, including patterns inspired by Han Dynasty influences such as auspicious clouds, lotus and dragons. Ameco, a joint venture between Air China and Lufthansa German Airlines established in 1989, provides completion and maintenance services for private and business jets.

Thailand’s Sabaidee Airways has contracted Ameco Beijing to provide maintenance for its Boeing 737 fleet through 2018. The agreement, signed at the Singapore Airshow on Wednesday, covers AOG support, airframe C and D checks, repair and overhaul for engines and landing gear. Ameco Beijing is a joint venture between Air China and Lufthansa German Airlines.
Ameco Beijing wants to increase its third-party workload for commercial aircraft maintenance and modifications and simultaneously expand into VIP and business jet completions, it announced here at the Dubai Air Show.
Greenpoint Aerospace has acquired Jet Works Air Center, a business aircraft completion, refurbishment and MRO facility at Denton (Texas) Municipal Airport. Greenpoint plans to perform interior refurbishment and executive completion work, exterior paint, avionics repair and installation and MRO work at the new location. .
Last year the Asian Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition (ABACE) in Shanghai was reborn on a wave of growing confidence in China as an emerging market for business aviation goods and services. It drew 156 companies to the 43,000-sq-foot exhibit floor.
