Swiss FBO Air Service Basel reported it handled a record number of aircraft during last week’s Art Basel exhibition, which attracted 92,000 people over six days. The provider, located at EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse, saw approximately 300 private and business aircraft movements and welcomed nearly 700 passengers to the fair, which attracts art collectors from around the world.

Beechcraft and its aftermarket service and support organization, Hawker Beechcraft Global Customer Support, appointed Air Service Basel in Switzerland as an authorized service center for the company’s King Air series. The designation allows the facility to provide King Air line and base maintenance. The company, which began operations in 1967, is an FBO, as well as an EASA- and FAA-approved maintenance organization and repair station at Euroairport Basel-Mulhouse in Switzerland.
Basel, Switzerland-based Amac Aerospace has received maintenance organization approval (MOA) from the State Civil Aviation Administration of Russia. The approval allows Amac to carry out base and line maintenance work on all Russian-registered Gulfstream IVs and GVs, as well as Airbus A319s and Boeing 737NGs. It also allows heavy maintenance work up to C Check levels at its facility at EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg.
