Local city officials confirmed that three pilots were killed when a Gulfstream GIV crashed on landing at Le Castellet Airport (LFMQ) in the south of France. The accident happened at just before 3 p.m. local time on July 13.

The number of accidents and fatalities for business jet and turboprop operations worldwide increased substantially in the first nine months, compared with the same period last year.
