Dassault Falcon on July 10 delivered the 2000th Falcon at its Bordeaux-Mérignac facility. The milestone aircraft–a Falcon 2000LX–was handed over to Istanbul-based Koç Holding. Since the first delivery of the Falcon Mystère 20 in 1965, the Falcon fleet has logged more than 14 million flight hours. Dassault has designed, produced and delivered 17 different Falcon versions to customers in 67 countries.
Boeing announced today that it has agreed to acquire the business and operations conducted by Vought Aircraft Industries at its North Charleston, S.C. factory, where it builds the aft fuselage section for the 787 Dreamliner.
Boeing said the deal will accelerate productivity and efficiency within the 787 supply chain.

The Qantas Group has reduced its firm order for 65 Boeing 787-9s by 15 airplanes, delayed first delivery of the type by three years and suspended delivery of its order for fifteen 787-8s for four years, the Australian flag carrier said in a statement today.

Cooling down somewhat from a red-hot commercial start at this year’s Paris Air Show, Airbus yesterday won a pair of modest but significant firm orders–one from Filipino airline Zest Airways for its first new Airbus A320 and the other from French private airline Aigle Azur for a single A319.
AirAsiaX has placed firm orders for 10 Airbus A350-900 airliners. The Malaysian carrier will use the new widebodys to connect its Asian hub in Kuala Lumpur with cities in Europe and Australia. The value of the deal was not confirmed but at list prices it would be approximately $2.4 billion.
Bombardier Aerospace yesterday announced a new firm order for 15 CRJ1000s from Spanish regional carrier Air Nostrum. The Valencia-based Iberia Regional partner has now placed firm orders for a total of 35 CRJ1000s and has revealed itself as the previously unidentified launch customer for the 100-seat-class jet.
