Barry Beegle has joined the R-R M250 team at Air Services International as lead engine mechanic. Beegle brings 40 years of aviation experience, starting with eight years of service in the Air Force. He has specialized in the Rolls-Royce M250 for more than 20 years and has worked for Garrett Turbine, Rockwell International, Aviall and MD Helicopters. His field service areas included Taiwan, Korea, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, the Philippines, Russia, Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.
Component specialist Aviall Services and Helicopter Service Co. (HSC), a subsidiary of Russian manufacturer Russian Helicopters, have signed an agreement to support rotorcraft powered by Rolls-Royce M250 engines. HSC, which operates the only M250 authorized support center in Russia, will buy parts for M250 engines and other helicopter parts directly from Aviall. Currently there are more than 100 M250-powered helicopters in Russia, mostly Kamov Ka-226 light twins.
