Duncan Aviation has released an update to its popular Field Guide “How to Extend the Life of an Aircraft Interior: A DOM’s Guide to Phased Interior Maintenance.” According to Nate Darlington, a completions sales rep, the guide is designed to assist operators with planning and budgeting for aircraft interior maintenance. “The objective is to aid operators with the upkeep of their aircraft interior functionality and aesthetic appearance,” he said.

In-service aircraft are joining newly built aircraft in eligibility for Dassault Falcon’s FalconCare guaranteed maintenance program. In-service Falcon customers can enroll in the program from the first C-check and use it anywhere in the manufacturer’s worldwide authorized service center network.

Cessna Aircraft is offering a program that covers all scheduled maintenance and parts costs for new Citation Sovereigns for the first five years or 1,500 flight hours. According to Cessna, the Sovereign Shield program “practically eliminates maintenance-related direct operating costs” for 2013 Citation Sovereigns, allowing owners to operate the aircraft for “far less” than other midsize business jets.

JSSI (Jet Support Services, Inc.) signed a contract here at EBACE with Geneva-based operator Air King Jet, marking the 10,000th aviation asset to be covered by a JSSI hourly cost maintenance program. In this case, the deal is for Platinum coverage for the engines and APU on Air King Jet’s new Bombardier Global 6000 (the aircraft is due to be delivered after the show).

Two new resources are available to Duncan Aviation customers that explain how to economize costs and downtime for interior refurbishments. A video series and a field guide explain how phasing interior maintenance with regularly scheduled maintenance events can improve the condition of an aircraft interior, reduce long-term costs and extend the life of interior refurbishments.
