Fokker Services Plans Cooktop in A318

Fokker Services in The Netherlands has applied to the FAA for approval to install a cooktop stove as part of an A318 conversion to executive use. The interior will include, in addition to an executive lounge and two private lounges, two galleys, one of which will be equipped with two “combined cooktop pan units.” Aviation authorities consider the cooktop appliance to be an exposed heat source that allows the presence of relatively unrestrained hot cookware and heated food. In similar cooktop installations in the past, the FAA has required a deployable cover and means to automatically shut off the power when the cover is in use. In lieu of this requirement, the FAA will require the cooktop installed by the Hoofddorp-based center to have a lid and a timer that is not covered by the lid.

Just pondering if Its a induction burner? May effect radar but at least heat source would be at the contained pan rather then a open burner.
