Jet Aviation Asian hub Seletar Airpark

Business aviation services group Jet Aviation (Booth P328) is set to significantly boost its maintenance capability in Asia when it completes construction of 79-foot (24-meters) high second hangar at Singapore’s Seletar Aerospace Park by the end of this month. The new $25 million facility will triple the size of its present facility adding almost 54,000 sq ft of hangar space.

The European Commission has lifted flight restrictions into Europe imposed on all operators from Swaziland, as well as for Cebu Pacific in the Philippines and Kazakhstan’s Air Astana with the latest revision of the EU air safety list, or so-called blacklist. The EC said it based its decisions on various sources and hearings before the EU Air Safety Committee, which met from March 25 to 27.

U.S. Navy EA-18G Growler

Boeing’s Super Hornet production line in St. Louis, Mo., would be sustained until 2017 if the U.S. Navy receives the 22 EA-18G Growler electronic warfare variants it seeks on a list of “unfunded” priorities the service has submitted to Congress. Industry and government analyses show a need for 50 to 100 more Growlers, Boeing contends.

Directional Capital’s Air Services subsidiary now provides hydrostatic services for oxygen bottles, nitrogen bottles and fire extinguishers. The company expanded its composite and accessory facility by 5,000 sq ft to house this new capability. Air Services has locations at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, Las Vegas International Airport and Birmingham International Airport.

Subic Bay, Philippines-based business jet service center Aviation Concepts Technical Services (ACTSI) has added Bermuda DCA AMO approval to its list of regulatory accreditations.

The approval allows the MRO to maintain, repair and return to service Bermuda-registered aircraft built by Boeing, Bombardier, Cessna, Embraer, Gulfstream and Hawker.
