Dassault recently received Transport Canada type certification for the Falcon 900EX EASy, Falcon 900DX and Falcon 2000. The approval follows several months of simulator and flight testing by Canadian authorities and allows these aircraft to be registered in Canada.

Comments are due March 5 on an FAA proposal to require a low-airspeed awareness system on Cessna 208 and 208B Caravans. The installation will cancel the prohibition against operating the turboprop single in moderate or worse icing conditions.

Cessna Citation 550, Butler, Pa., Jan. 24, 2007–The Air Trek Citation 550 air ambulance landed long at Butler, Pa., slid off the runway and hit a localizer. Weather was IMC. Two people on board were slightly injured and the aircraft was substantially damaged.

Cessna 425 Conquest I, Harbor Springs, Mich., Jan. 12, 2007–Cessna 425 N425TN was destroyed when it crashed on landing on Runway 28 at Harbor Springs Airport, but the commercial pilot and a passenger escaped with minor injuries. The second passenger was not injured.
