The Baltimore Heliport in Maryland’s “Charm City” now features an updated pilot lounge with new sofas, flat-screen tv and DVD player. Located on Pier 7 on South Clinton Street, the heliport has four landing pads, and a new 6,000-sq-ft hangar is being constructed.

Lockheed Martin and Kaman Aerospace , a subsidiary of Kaman of Bloomfield, Conn., have teamed to market advanced manned and unmanned helicopters worldwide for government applications. The companies intend to develop an unmanned version of the K-Max, already FAA approved for manned operation.

Sloane Helicopters has received Part 145 approval for its new maintenance facility at Enniskillen, Northern Ireland. The facility is certified to deliver base maintenance for Robinson R22s and R44s. It can also perform line maintenance on Bell 206s and Agusta A119s and A109s.

Mesa Air Group will fly another 14 Bombardier CRJ900s as Delta Connection starting in September under the terms of a contract amendment that also calls for Mesa to immediately add six 50-seat ERJ 145s, then to remove eight of its original 30 ERJ 145s from August to October 2008.
