Interested parties have until April 19 to comment on the FAA’s proposal to require all air-tour operators to be certified under Part 135 or 121 regulations. Since the proposal was published last October, the FAA has received nearly 1,900 comments, most of them negative.

European regulators have approved the sale of Raytheon Aircraft to a coalition of Onex and GS Capital Partners, expected to be called Hawker Beechcraft. The sale still has to be approved by U.S. regulators. Raytheon expects the sale to be complete before the middle of the year.

Safire Aircraft said the price of its new six-place, twin-turbofan Safire Jet will increase to $1.495 million for new orders placed after the prototype flies later this year. The current price is $1.395 million.
