Nextant Aerospace, producer of the remanufactured 400XTi (based on the Hawker 400A/XP) and G90XT (based on the Beechcraft King Air C90), announced today that Aerie Aviação will be its exclusive sales agent for Brazil. The company will work alongside Nextant’s existing Central and South American representative, GFM Aviation. The region offers considerable opportunities for Nextant, as it already has a large population of ageing Hawker 400s and King Air C90s.

The FAA has issued amended repair station regulations that allow the agency to deny an application for a new repair station certificate if the applicant or certain associated key individuals had materially contributed to the circumstances that caused a previous repair station certificate revocation action. The rule also adds a new section prohibiting fraudulent or intentionally false entries or omissions of material facts in any application, record or report made under the repair station rules.

Embraer Executive Jets has opened new facilities at its contact center to provide operational, technical and maintenance support for its fleet of business jets. Since the center opened in 2009, Embraer’s fleet has quintupled in size to 780 aircraft in 50 countries. The contact center, which is located in Embraer’s São José dos Campos headquarters in Brazil, operates 24 hours a day 365 days a year and provides personalized service from the first contact to the final solution for customer needs, anywhere in the world.

Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children (TSRHC) is the beneficiary of a $10,000 donation from Dallas Airmotive as part of BBA Aviation’s charitable giving program. TSRHC, which is located in downtown Dallas, is dedicated to children with orthopedic, neurological and learning disorders and provides medical care regardless of the family’s ability to pay. TSRHC treats children with diseases such as scoliosis, club foot, hand disorders, hip disorders and limb-length differences as well as certain related neurological disorders and learning disorders such as dyslexia.

Gulfstream Aerospace has added a hangar specifically for mid-cabin aircraft maintenance at its service and completions facility at Outagamie County Regional Airport in Appleton, Wis. The 25,500-sq-ft building, which is leased from Outagamie County, comprises 18,000 sq ft of hangar space and 7,500 sq ft of office space. The building includes new hangar doors that enable it to accommodate all Gulfstream mid-cabin models, remodeled customer and employee offices, and a glass-enclosed conference room.

Marshall Aerospace Canada has acquired a 4,343-sq-ft facility at Abbotsford Airport in British Columbia to serve as its Canadian head office and base. It will accommodate up to 35 employees, the majority of whom will be engineers and technical staff, and will further consolidate Marshall Aerospace Canada as an integral part of Marshall’s UK headquarters, which holds design authority for a number of aircraft so it can undertake and certify OEM-type work on components, systems and structures.
