Accidents: Beech 1900 crashes soon after takeoff
Hawker Beechcraft Beech 1900, Billings, Mont., May 23, 2008–The ATP-rated pilot of the Alpine Air Express Beech 1900 was killed when it crashed and exploded three miles northeast of Logan International Airport, two minutes after takeoff. The pilot was told to turn left to intercept Victor 187, but radar data showed the airplane started to turn right slowly.
Radar contact was lost and an explosion was seen northeast of the airport.
