Corona, Calif.-based Circor Aerospace (Booth No. 2042) has selected India-based HCL Technologies to provide product research and development, IT and engineering services from HCL’s new delivery center in North Carolina and other worldwide centers.
HCL is the first Indian IT provider to obtain AS9100 certification and has the largest dedicated aerospace practice in India, the company said. Its aerospace business comprises more than 40 aerospace clients, including avionics companies, airframe manufacturers, systems integrators and Tier 1 suppliers.
“Global collaboration is key to staying competitive in this dynamic industry,” said Circor director of engineering Scott Kunkler. “HCL offers value-added engineering and IT transformation services that enable us to focus on our mission of providing high-end value-centric solutions and services for critical aerospace and defense applications.”
Circor also announced here at NBAA’08 several recent contracts: Gulfstream has selected the company to supply the firewall shut-off valve and main entry door damper for the G650. The main entry door damper marks the first actuation device Circor will supply to Gulfstream, the company said.
Circor has also signed a multiyear contract with Boeing to supply landing gear for the CH-47F Chinook. It will also supply new and overhauled landing gear for the CH-47G models, as well as fluid controls and landing gear for the V-22 Osprey and F/A-18E/F Super Hornet strike fighter.
