A two-year, worldwide logistic services agreement has been signed by Ameco Beijing and Lufthansa Technik Logistik (LTL). Under the terms of the agreement, LTL will commence comprehensive logistic support for Ameco Beijing to enhance the MRO’s capabilities for tracking and tracing, consolidation and 24-hour AOG service. The companies have had a similar arrangement for the past four years to build a supply chain between the U.S. and China.
The new agreement is designed to promote Ameco Beijing’s worldwide logistic services, with shorter lead times and cost savings through the implementation of advanced IT measures including electronic-based tracking and tracing. Ameco Beijing anticipates annual savings of at least 15 percent on transportation costs.
