Banyan Expands into Large Business Aircraft

Fort Lauderdale-based Banyan Air Service has expanded its refurbishment service into larger aircraft and recently completed installation of an Audio International in-flight entertainment system in a Gulfstream IV-SP and a Collins Tailwind 550 multi-region satellite-direct television and high-speed Internet package with cabin wireless connectivity (Wi-Fi) in a privately owned Boeing 747SP. Projects in the works include a similar high-speed Internet package with Wi-Fi connectivity in a Boeing Business Jet and an Audio International in-flight entertainment system in a Gulfstream III.

“The days of traveling on a corporate or commercial aircraft and arriving at your destination only to hurry to your hotel and hook your laptop to the DSL line are over,” said director of avionics Brian Wilson. “Now passengers enjoy the same BlackBerry experience and Internet cruising they enjoy in their office or home.”
