Central Europe Bizav Community Gets Its Own Voice

The new Central Europe Private Aviation Association (Cepa) will hold its inaugural conference in the Czech capital Prague on April 22 and 23. The group has been formed to represent and coordinate the interests of business aviation companies in new European Union states, including the Czech Republic, the Slovak Republic, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia and Slovenia.

“There is this invisible border between the private aviation industries in western and eastern Europe,” said Cepa founder and chairman Dagmar Grossmann, who is also CEO of executive charter operator Grossmann Jet Services. “For example, if a Bulgarian company purchases jets with financing from a German bank and insurance from a French insurance company, it might be deterred by several barriers.

Cepa is going to make those connections happen. At the conference, the association plans to make an announcement about what it describes as a major new project to bring together Europe’s business aviation industry.
