Historically the individual properties of the 80-year-old Cutter Aviation FBO chain have operated semi-autonomously under the guidance of local general managers, but with an increasing demand for maintenance the company is changing the way it does business. To effect this change, it tapped Dennis Constantine as its director of technical services, to oversee and coordinate maintenance, avionics, warranty service and support for all Cutter FBOs, bringing those functions into a single business unit.
“Dennis will be leading the effort to integrate business operations and create an enhanced and more consistent customer experience at all Cutter service facilities including its Hawker Beechcraft, Piper and Socata authorized service centers,” said Cutter president Will Cutter. “One of our goals is to increase our maintenance activity overall but the primary reason is to integrate our locations.
We found with the increased maintenance activity we didn't have the flexibility to react to customer demand. With Dennis coordinating system-wide resources we'll be able to transfer manpower and equipment as necessary to meet demand or have the customer go to a different location [and] we'll pay the fuel cost difference to make this trip.”
