ExecuJet looks east for new opportunity

The Swiss-based business aviation sales and services provider ExecuJet announced at EBACE on Monday the opening of new offices in Moscow, Mumbai and Beijing. The move is described as the first step to the establishment of more extensive facilities in India, China and Russia, where business aviation is growing at a rapid pace. According to group managing director Gerrit Basson, “There are 300 business jets flying in the Asia Pacific area, offering plenty of opportunities for a company like ExecuJet.”

ExecuJet is already active alone or with associated companies in Europe, the Middle East, South Africa and Australia. It employs 750 aviation specialists and manages more than 110 business jets on behalf of their owners. ExecuJet is also selling new aircraft as a representative for Bombardier in selected territories and for the new Grob SPn jet worldwide outside North America. In addition, it is taking orders for the new Aerion supersonic jet outside of the U.S.

ExecuJet operates FBOs at Zurich, Berlin, Copenhagen, Johannesburg, Cape Town, Dubai and Sydney and has maintenance shops at Sydney, Dubai, Johannesburg, Copenhagen, and at Berlin, where it has a joint venture with Lufthansa Technik (LBAS). It opened a passenger lounge at London City Airport in March of this year, and plans to expand this facility in coming months.
