ExecuJet opens two facilities this month`

ExecuJet South Africa is set to move into its new FBO at Cape Town International Airport this month. Meanwhile, ExecuJet Europe will officially open its new VIP lounge at Berlin Schoenefeld Airport on October 23.

In Cape Town, the company is anchor tenant for a new $32 million facility that will be completed early next year.

The FBO is located parallel to the main runway at Cape Town International Airport and features almost 54,000 sq ft of hangar space and just over 75,000 sq ft of ramp parking with exclusive taxiway access to the runway. ExecuJet will offer full handling services there, as well as aircraft maintenance and charter.

“The provision of these services will be an extension of the services already provided by ExecuJet South Africa at Lanseria International Airport [near Johannesburg] and other ExecuJet facilities in Dubai, Sydney, Melbourne, Kuala Lumpur, Zurich, Berlin, Copenhagen and Monterey,” said Ettore Poggi, managing director of ExecuJet South Africa.

Meanwhile, ExecuJet South Africa’s maintenance division at Lanseria has received Part 145 approval from the European Aviation Safety Agency. This gives it approval to provide line and base maintenance for European-registered aircraft and their engines and components. It intends to extend the approval to its Cape Town facility.
