Executive Jet Management Gets OSHA Star for Safety

Executive Jet Management (EJM) has earned a much-coveted star for safety. Well into the implementation of a newly organized safety management system, the Cincinnati-based charter and aircraft management company has earned the Star Participant designation in the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s voluntary protection program (VPP).

“It’s part of establishing safety [into] a corporate culture at every level,” said EJM director of safety Fred Calvert. OSHA created the VPP in 1982 to recognize and partner with businesses that show excellence in occupational safety and health.

The approval star is in recognition of “exemplary work sites with comprehensive, successful safety and health management systems. Companies that earn the star are defined as those that have achieved injury and illness rates at or below the national average for their respective industries and are self-sufficient in their ability to control workplace hazards.
