Fractional share operator Flexjet of Dallas has an innovative answer to the perennial holiday season question, “What do you give to someone who has everything?”
How about an “Expert Guide Edition Jet Card”? It not only provides the recipient with up to 35 flight hours in a Flexjet 25 aircraft, but also a choice of one of six “ultimate life experiences,” ranging from a private three-hour lesson at the Bellagio casino in Las Vegas with world champion poker player Antonio Esfandiari to an opportunity to learn from award-winning chefs and vintners as they do their magic at the Second Annual Pebble Beach Food & Wine event in April. “Santa Claus was never this good,” said Bob Knebel, Flexjet v-p of sales.
Flexjet 25 holiday gift cards start at 25 flight hours in a Learjet 40 for $107,900, good for 275 days; and up to 35 flight hours in a Challenger 604 for $401,520, good for 365 days.
In addition to the “life experiences” noted above, the price of a card includes other choices:
• an intimate exploration of the art world with internationally renowned art consultant Barbara Guggenheim to advise in purchasing art.
• expert guidance in bridging the gap between wanting to make a difference and knowing how to make the most significant impact, with leading philanthropy advisor and strategist Marjorie Federbush as guide.
• a two-day fishing trip with world-famous fly fisherman Mike Lawson, who will share knowledge and an insider’s secrets in the Mecca of fly fishing, Henry’s Fork River in Idaho.
• making a dream come true with “The Mint Experience,” whether it’s finding a legendary tennis pro for a private lesson for the kids or an author to create a personal biography of a loved one. It might even involve closing down the Louvre in Paris for a private dinner party or building the perfect wine collection with the assistance of one of the experts from The Mint Experience.
Expert Guide Edition Jet Cards will be on sale through December 15. It is not necessary to be a shareholder in the Flexjet fractional ownership program to purchase a card. Nor is it required that the card be purchased as a gift for someone else, said Flexjet director of marketing Nathalie Bloomfield. “You might want to treat yourself, or in the spirit of the season, treat yourself and a friend.”
