Loyd’s Aviation at Meadows Field Airport in Bakersfield, Calif., celebrated the grand opening of its new FBO location and introduced a new name, Bakersfield Jet Center by Loyd’s Aviation. The Avfuel-branded FBO’s renovation includes a remodeled 3.5-acre ramp and a new 5,000-sq-ft FBO terminal with a Spanish-style lobby, complimentary specialty beverage service, new flight-planning room and on-site travel service.
Aircraft fueling and line service operations were moved to the front of the building to make them more accessible. “As we expand our FBO,” said president and owner Steve Loyd, “we focus on creating a first-class experience that will meet the needs of today’s growing and diverse aviation community.”
