Grob launches Mx cost assurance plan for SPn

Grob Aerospace launched here at EBACE a new maintenance cost assurance plan for its SPn jet, designed to guarantee operators full direct cost control. The manufacturer also announced flight training programs for European and U.S. customers. Grob Aerospace offers owners of the SPn a choice between three levels of protection to assure predictable and consistent cost based on fixed rates per flight hour. Providing a complete maintenance history of each aircraft, it will also enhance resale value.

The three levels of cost protection offered for the SPn start with the Basic Program, covering airframe and avionics parts, including consumables, worldwide shipping costs of the parts and technical publication updates. The intermediate Advanced Program covers labor costs, component exchanges, plus maintenance and spare parts for the cabin interior. The Premium Program also includes engine maintenance coverage for the FJ44 engines. An agreement with FedEx providing for the storage of SPn spare parts at the carrier’s Memphis, Tennessee hub will ensure fast service for U.S. operators.

Grob also announced a flight training program for private and commercial customers in Europe and the U.S. In Europe, training will be provided at the manufacturer’s new base at Altenrhein Airport in Switzerland, while a U.S. flight training center is scheduled to open in 2010 at Grob’s Portsmouth, New Hampshire sales and support facility established in 2007.
 
The Maintenance Cost Assurance Plan and the flight training program are key parts of Grob’s customer support service. The manufacturer has already appointed a number of support partners for the SPn, including ExecuJet and Ocean Sky Jet Center in Europe, as well as Landmark Aviation, Stevens Aviation and Aero Air in the U.S. Grob is at Booth No. 7501.
