Dart Helicopter Services (DHS) on Monday acquired a division of Heliproducts Industries, further expanding DHS’s portfolio of helicopter tools. According to the company, a key new offering is a portable tool kit for Eurocopter AS 350 field maintenance.
The expanded product line also includes tools for Bell Helicopter, MD Helicopters, Honeywell, Rolls-Royce and Turbomeca products. DHS already is the exclusive distributor for 900 standard and custom tools produced by company partner Red Barn Machine, which will also manufacture and distribute the new line of Heliproducts tools.
“These 300 new products will make sourcing tools easier and more cost-effective for our customers,” said DHS president Jeff Shapiro. “Later this summer, online ordering for all tooling will simplify the process even more.
Heliproducts will continue to provide helicopter parts, MRO and conversions, as well as sales and leasing services from its facilities in Pitt Meadows, British Columbia. DHS offers a line of tools and accessories categorized as “maintenance made easy,” including more than 1,000 engine support and helicopter tools, cabin door rollers, adjustable engine mounts and interchangeable skidtubes.
