Huey Lewis to headline NBAA gala

Huey Lewis and the News will headline this year’s NBAA Benefit Gala tonight in the Murphy Ballroom at the Georgia World Congress Center.

“Do You Believe in Love,” “The Heart of Rock and Roll” and “The Power of Love” from the soundtrack to the movie Back to the Future are the band’s best-known hits from the 1980s.

According to NBAA, this year there’s more reason than ever to celebrate, as the business aviation organization marks not only its 60th anniversary but also Georgia’s centennial of flight.

The gala will also serve as host to the Third Annual Live Auction, with auctioneer Dick Friel leading the bidding in benefit of NBAA charities. Friel, senior vice president of marketing for Aviation Partners, has conducted almost 3,000 charity auctions throughout the country, including at EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh, Wis.


Tickets are $175 each, or $1,600 for a table of 10, and can be collected at the Benefit Gala desk in the registration area of the Hall C lobby in the convention center.
