Industria Controls, a French subsidiary of California-based Circor Aerospace, has been selected by Claverham Ltd to provide an integrated pressure switch for the Eurocopter/ Harbin Aircraft EC175 medium twin helicopter. The hydraulic component is supposed to be environmentally friendly–with zero leakage–as well as vibration- and fire-proof. Testing is to start by year-end. Claverham, a Hamilton Sundstrand company, is in charge of the helicopter’s primary flight control actuators. The EC175 (or Z15, under its Chinese designation) is scheduled to fly next year.
Separately, Industria will provide French-based Rafault with a solenoid-actuated selector valve. It will equip the water-bombing doors of the Eurocopter EC225’s firefighting variant. Testing is to start by year-end.
