MedAire extends BBJ contract

Remote medical care provider MedAire (Booth No. 1075) yesterday renewed its contract
with Boeing Business Jets to supply medical services and equipment on board each BBJ the manufacturer delivers. Boeing has also extended the service to include 747-8 and 787 VIP-configured jets.

MedAire service includes access to MedLink’s 24-hour emergency medical hotline and Global Travel Watch, a Web site that supplies pre-trip, travel and health information, management of in- flight illness and injury training, aircraft first-aid kits and Phillips FR2 automated external defibrillators.

“We’re honored to be the safety standard carried aboard the BBJ product line,” said MedAire CEO Grant Jeffery. “Airplane owners, flight crews and passengers alike gain added peace of mind knowing that they have access to the industry’s pioneer in remote medical and safety services.”
