NetJets Consolidating Pilots Into Single Seniority List

NetJets pilots will be consolidated into a system-wide seniority list, per a letter of agreement penned by NetJets and the NetJets Association of Shared Aircraft Pilots (NJASAP). On Friday, NetJets announced that it is voluntarily recognizing the two pilot groups serving NetJets Aviation and NetJets International “as a single transportation system for purposes of collective bargaining under the Railway Labor Act.

The move to consolidate the two companies’ pilot seniority lists does not mean the companies will be merged, according to NetJets. Former NetJets Aviation pilots’ union president and NetJets pilot Bill Olsen will lead the integration process and report directly to chairman and CEO Richard Santulli.

Olsen is being assisted by team members Bill Noe, NetJets International president; James Christiansen, NetJets Aviation president; and Mike Maratto, NetJets Aviation vice president of labor and employee relations. “We are looking forward to what will certainly prove to be a synergistic process that will serve as an example for the industry of what can be accomplished when both sides share common goals and collectively seek growth opportunities that benefit all stakeholders within an organization,” said NJASAP president Dennis Cotton.
