Excelaire (Booth No. 723) announced at EBACE the opening of a new gateway to New York located at MacArthur Airport (ISP) in Islip, Long Island.
The facility offers international travelers on-site U.S. customs clearance, FBO services including fuel and maintenance, as well as ad hoc helicopter links to New York City. Deicing and hangar space for visiting aircraft are also available.
David Rimmer, executive vice president of the company, describes Islip as a smart alternative to other New York area airports, with no slot shortage, ATC delays or road traffic jams. Excelaire operates a fleet of executive jets.
The helicopter service between Islip and NYC is operated in association with HeliFlite.
