Patrick Enz has joined Rizon Jet as group CEO, replacing Will Curtis, who has stepped down after spending two years helping develop the company’s Doha, Qatar, and London Biggin Hill FBOs and maintenance facilities. Enz was vice president of business development at Jet Aviation Management before opening his own consultancy and has held management roles at Swissair and Lufthansa.
Qatar-based charter operator Rizon expects to open its new FBO terminal at Biggin Hill by the end of this month. The facility has been developed specifically to cater to Middle Eastern passengers and will be fully compliant with Islamic Sharia law by providing Halal catering on-site, a prayer room and private booths in which women passengers can unveil for immigration checks.
Rizon, which is also expanding its charter and aircraft management operations into Europe, has invested around $15 million in the new 140,000-sq-ft facility.
