Denmark’s ScanTech has outfitted a King Air 200 from Swedish air ambulance operator Svensk Flygambulans AB with five Raisbeck EPIC Performance Systems at its facility in Sindal. The retrofits included Hartzell/Raisbeck turbofan propellers, high-flotation gear doors, dual aft body strakes, enhanced-performance leading edges and ram air recovery systems.
Aside from overall better performance, the systems give the airplanes a quieter and more comfortable cabin, according to ScanTech. With this latest work, 1,196 King Air 200/200Bs have received Raisbeck systems worldwide.
