Stevens Aviation Delivers First Lear4Ever Aircraft

Business aircraft maintenance, modification and completions firm Stevens Aviation today delivered the first Lear4Ever–an upgraded Learjet 35–to Dr. Steve Bass in a ceremony at its Greenville, S.C. headquarters.

For $2 million and six months of downtime, the Lear4Ever program provides “a series of upgrades, retrofits and modifications” intended to modernize and extend the useful life of 20- and 30-series Learjets. Under its portfolio of STCs and approvals held by Lear4Ever program partners, Stevens Aviation installs a glass cockpit; new interior and cabin entertainment system; Raisbeck ZR Lite wing upgrades and aft fuselage locker; and custom design exterior and painting.

The Lear4Ever RVSM-capable standard avionics package includes three Universal Avionics 8.9-inch-diagonal LCD screens, UNS-1L flight management system, Vision-1 synthetic vision system and terrain awareness and warning system; Rockwell Collins Pro Line II navcom and AHS-1000 attitude heading reference system; and L-3 GH-3100 emergency backup instruments. Lear4Ever airframe upgrades, which boost both performance and handling, include Avcon delta fins and Raisbeck horizontal winglets and flap trailing edges as part of the ZR Lite retrofit.
