Air Data’s JetAir bio-protection air purification system has received Transport Canada manufacturing approval. The Montreal-based company expects supplemental type certification early this summer for Bombardier’s Global Express XRS and Global 5000.
U.S. independent completion and refurbishment specialist Midcoast is offering the system as an option to operators of both Global variants. The bio-protection package is based on patented cold plasma ionic interaction technology pioneered in space and used today to ensure the air quality in the International Space Station.
