The FAA and Transport Canada last month granted type certification for the Pratt & Whitney Canada PW617F, which powers the Embraer Phenom 100 very light jet. The fadec-controlled PW617F delivers 1,615 pounds of thrust.
Brazilian and FAA certification of the Phenom 100 is “imminent,” and Embraer expects to deliver between 10 and 15 of the twinjets to customers by year-end.
