Shane Eddy is the new kid on the block at Sikorsky, but he’s no neophyte to helicopters, having spent more than 25 years in the industry, with the last 14 years at Bell Helicopter, where he most recently served as senior vice president of customer support and services.
Reno, Nev.-based Aerion today said it is evaluating preliminary results of a new global market survey indicating strong demand for its supersonic business jet. “It was time to take a fresh look at the potential for the Aerion supersonic jet, taking into account the globalization of the business jet market,” said Aerion vice chairman Brian Barents.
Dassault’s Falcon 7X business jet has received its type certification from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC). All in-production Falcons are now certified in the country, the French-based manufacturer added. Salesmen are very optimistic about sales in the region this year.

StandardAero is the first authorized independent service center in North America approved and trained to perform wing tank (dry bay) modifications on the Dassault Falcon 50, 900 and 2000. The modification requirement, outlined in recent service bulletin advisories issued by Dassault, is mandatory for all Falcon 50, 900 and 2000 operators.
