Air Gear

September 2, 2008 - 6:33am

An FAA-operated King Air, N11, in late July landed gear up at Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) after a gear malfunction. After taking off from SLC and raising the gear, the pilot noticed that the three green gear lights went out and the red gear transit light illuminated. He saw that the gear had not retracted and attempted to recycle it, but it failed to lock down.
