Greenwich AeroGroup has named Ralph Kunz as general manager of Summit Aviation. Kunz has more than 20 years experience in aerospace operations. He will be responsible for operations at Summit’s Middletown, Del., and Somerset, Ky. facilities. Kunz most recently served as vice president of operations for Airborne Tactical Advantage. Previously he held senior leadership positions with Keystone/Sikorsky Helicopters, Vector Aerospace and Parker Hannifin.

The Columbus Police Division Helicopter Unit and the Houston Police Department Air Support Division today became the first two airborne units to become accredited through the Airborne Law Enforcement Accreditation Commission (ALEAC).
Certification is awarded after an assessment of the entire air support operation according to professional standard guidelines applicable to all airborne law enforcement units.
Hawker Beechcraft Beech 99, Bowling Green, Mo., June 21, 2008–A parachutist was killed because he failed to follow procedures/directives by not waiting to jump until the green jump light was illuminated, resulting in his hitting the tail of the airplane, according to the NTSB.
