Istanbul, Turkey-based Teknik Servis Sanayi ve Ticaret (MyTechnic) has received approval from the General Administration of Aviation of China to provide maintenance services for China-registered aircraft, engines and components. MyTechnic is located at Sabiha Gokcen International Airport on the Asian side of Istanbul, making it readily accessible to operators in both Asia and Europe. Established in 2008, the MRO has a 165,700-sq-ft hangar bay, 267,000 sq ft of shops, office and storage and a 64,500-sq-ft engine shop.

HNA Group of China and Bravia Capital of New York will acquire a majority stake in myTechnic. According to Daglar Cizmeci, CFO, board member and investor in myTechnic Aircraft MRO Services, the company is the first lean (zero waste) greenfield maintenance, repair and overhaul center in the world.

Mxi Technologies has announced that Teknik Servis Sanayi Ticaret (myTechnic), a start-up MRO facility in Turkey, has selected the Maintenix maintenance management software. MyTechnic is located on the Sabiha Gokcen Airport on the Asian side of Istanbul.

U.S. systems and services company Goodrich has embarked on its first joint venture in Turkey with the signature of a memorandum of understanding with Istanbul-based Turkish Technic for nacelle maintenance and repair work.

The deal calls for the new company, Goodrich HABOM, to provide maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services and rotable support for the fast-growing Turkish Airlines fleet of Airbuses and Boeings.
