The organizers of this year’s Dubai Airshow (November 15 to 19) expect to break all existing exhibition space records with the addition of a fourth hall, sponsored and hosted by Dubai-based Emirates. The biennial airshow will feature a new Emirates Hall, which will cover 75,616 sq ft, including 53,820 sq ft for exhibition stands. The additions will raise the total airshow area to 3.5 million square feet.

The 2009 Asian Aerospace show in Hong Kong is set to achieve significant growth in visitor numbers with organizers reporting that pre-registrations are more than 100 percent up on the same period ahead of the inaugural show in 2007.

Organizers of next year’s Singapore Airshow are here in Paris (Chalet D226) pressing for a sell out for the Feb. 2-7, 2010 event. So far, 90 percent of its exhibit space has been sold. They anticipate more than 700 exhibitors will attend, including 60 of the world’s top 100 aerospace firms.

The organizers of the biennial Farnborough International Air Show announced several improvements for the next edition, scheduled to take place July 19 to 25, 2010. The setup of the show is being re-evaluated with emphasis on enhancing and increasing networking opportunities, as well as improving site services in line with feedback from exhibitors, particularly in the business aviation sector.

The Asian Business Aviation Association (AsBAA) is planning to stage a new trade show called Asian Business Aviation. The event has been launched in partnership with Reed Exhibitions and will be held in Hong Kong from September 8 to 10 as part of the larger Asian Aerospace show.

The Asian Business Aviation Association (AsBAA) is partnering with Reed Exhibitions to bring business aviation to Asian Aerospace 2009, scheduled for September 8 to 10 at the Asia-World Expo in Hong Kong. The new event, called Asian Business Aviation, was announced on Monday. “The outlook for Asian business aviation continues to be promising,” said AsBAA chairman Chuck Woods.
