Precision Aviation Group’s Canadian companies, Precision Heliparts Canada (PHP-C) and Precision Accessories & Instruments Canada (PAI-C), are combining and moving into a new facility in Vancouver, British Columbia.
An FAA-operated King Air, N11, in late July landed gear up at Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) after a gear malfunction. After taking off from SLC and raising the gear, the pilot noticed that the three green gear lights went out and the red gear transit light illuminated. He saw that the gear had not retracted and attempted to recycle it, but it failed to lock down.
Wichita-based Mid-Continent Instruments named Precision Avionics & Instruments (PAI) as an authorized service provider to repair and overhaul the MCI 4300 Lifesaver electric attitude indicator. PAI is the only authorized company in North America outside the factory to be a service facility and provide warranty work for the instruments.
