Ilyushin Finance Co. (IFC), Russia’s largest aircraft lessor, says it has lined up various prospective customers to discuss deals for Bombardier CSeries and Sukhoi Superjet aircraft. “We come here to see our airline customers in the first place. Meetings at the show have been arranged with twelve carriers interested in the CSeries and five ones considering the Superjet,” said IFC general manager Alexander Roubtsov. “Besides, we will host a number of events devoted to the Q series and the MC-21. Ilyushin Finance is entering the business aviation market with plans to have some of the airliners it has on order for its lease portfolio outfitted with VIP interiors. For the most part, the aircraft to be offered for lease for private and corporate clients will be Russian-made airliners, such as the Tupolev Tu-204 and Antonov An-158, but the company also has orders for new aircraft such as Sukhoi’s Superjet SSJ-100 and Irkut’s MC-21.

Ilyushin Finance Company (IFC) has won the approval of its shareholders and governmental bodies for recently signed deals on 50 Irkut МС-21s, 32 Bombardier CSeries and 20 Sukhoi Superjet 100s. “All three programs have been approved,” IFC general manager and co-owner Alexander Roubtsov told AIN.

Through their trade association, AKAI, Russian aircraft interior specialists Kvand, Vemina-Aviaprestige and Aerostyle have jointly submitted proposed cabin designs for the new Sukhoi Business Jet being developed from the Russian airframer’s Superjet SSJ100 airliner.

Russia’s aircraft interiors industry achieved 15-percent growth in revenue last year, much of it from work on business and private aircraft. According to the country’s Association of Aviation Interiors Companies, its 17 members account for 90 percent of completions work for indigenously produced aircraft.

Demand for business aviation in Russia and the wider Commonwealth of Independent States is continuing to excite aircraft manufacturers and service providers alike, especially with the nearby markets of Western Europe remaining largely stagnant. Russia was not untouched by fallout from the financial crisis that started in 2008, but for most of the past 10 years has sustained strong business aviation growth.

The first example of a VIP-configured Antonov An-148 regional airliner is due to enter service by year-end, after flying for the first time early in October. Three of the An-148-100EA versions of the twinjet are currently being completed at United Aircraft Corporation’s Vaso factory in Voronezh, Russia.

(IFC) has signed an agreement for 15 aircraft from the Antonov An-148/158 family of regional airliners, valued at around $420 million based on list prices. IFC will in turn resell the aircraft to its new partner in Panama. South American Aircraft Leasing will place the twinjets with local carriers, with an initial three An-158s due to be delivered from December 2012.

Ilyushin Finance Co. (IFC), Russia’s oldest and largest aircraft leasing company, is planning to procure Western aircraft types to help the vast country’s airlines to meet soaring demand. Airline traffic grew 13.4 percent in 2011 and has continued at a similar pace this year.
