Cabin electronics specialist Emteq has invested heavily in developing sophisticated lighting systems for both airliners and private aircraft. The U.S. company, which is exhibiting here at ABACE 2014 in Shanghai with its partner Talco Aviation (Booth H619), is also a pioneer in producing advanced cabin management systems (CMS).
B/E Aerospace received a PMA for its LED wash lighting for the Gulfstream IV. Approval for the new system follows previously approved B/E passenger-adjustable LED reading lights for the GIV. The company is working on certification for wash lighting on other jets, including the Citation 550. B/E has also begun marketing two other new LED products.
Emteq (Booth No. 3051) has a unique way of seeing things. This time around it’s the company’s new night-vision imaging system (NVIS), upgraded with LED technology.
According to the New Berlin, Wis.-based company, NVIS is designed to provide EMS, law enforcement and search-and-rescue helicopters with more capable cabin/cockpit systems. It is now applicable to dual-mode dome lights, dual-mode wash lighting and flexible strip lighting.
