Bahrain-based Bexair has launched a new company called Aventura Air Center to “own, operate and manage its FBO in Bahrain and expand FBO operations throughout the Middle East and other parts of the world,” according to Bexair. While Aventura will run the FBO, including aircraft handling and fueling at Bahrain, Bexair will remain a charter company.

CAE has sold two full-flight simulators to Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Co., the investment arm of the Kingdom of Bahrain and owner of national carrier Gulf Air. The 7000 Series A330/A340 convertible FFS and 5000 Series A320 FFS, both with the Tropos-6000 visual system, will support the training of Gulf Air pilots. CAE will also provide a suite of support services over the next 10 years.

Organizers of the new Bahrain International Air Show (BIAS) are here at EBACE (Booth No. 481) to convince business aviation companies that the Jan. 21-23, 2010 event could be a strong launch pad for expanding sales in the Middle East. The show is being planned on a limited scale to allow a maximum of 40 participating companies to have exclusive access to high-level buyers and prospective partners in the region.

The first Gulf VIP Executive Jet, Luxury Yacht & Elite Car Interiors Exhibition will take place at the Bahrain International Exhibition & Convention Centre from March 3 to 5, 2009. To date, a number of globally recognized companies have confirmed their interest in Gulf VIP 2009. Almost 124,000 sq ft of exhibition space has been allocated and the organizers expect more than 150 exhibitors and 5,000 visitors.

Clean Jet Aviation (Stand No. 845), a French company that specializes in business jet cleaning, has opened a new base at Bahrain’s Manama Airport. The company said this may be the first of several operations in the Middle East and it claims to be the first in the region to offer comprehensive cleaning services for business jets.
