BBA Aviation’s engine repair and overhaul company, Dallas Airmotive, has expanded PW305 capability at its Dallas Love Field (DAL) facility. New tooling allows the company to replace IBRs (integrally bladed rotors) on the PW305A, the engine that powers the Learjet 60. The first two engines to receive this treatment were completed in April. IBR replacement on the PW305A eliminates the requirement for inspection every 300 hours.

The new centers will provide troubleshooting, parts support, borescope inspection and on-wing hot section inspection and repairs.

A new, larger facility adjacent to Deer Valley Airport in North Phoenix has become home to BBA Aviation engine repair and overhaul (ERO) company Dallas Airmotive. The Regional Turbine Center (RTC) moved from Scottsdale Airpark into a 7,500-sq-ft facility, almost doubling its previous space.
Textron has promoted Scott Donnelly to president, in addition to his COO role. Richard Yates, the company’s senior v-p and controller, has been named acting CFO after the recent departure of executive v-p and CFO Ted French.

BBA Aviation is moving Gary Boekenkamp to its Legacy Products Group. In this new job, Boekenkamp will serve as vice president of marketing, acquisitions and strategic business development. He will be responsible for strategic planning, looking for new opportunities and acquisitions. The Legacy Products Group licenses mature OEM parts from manufacturers, assuming responsibility for production quality and aftermarket support.
Michael Scheeringa, former CEO of Flight Options, is joining Signature Flight Support as president and COO. He will also join the executive committee at Signature parent company BBA Aviation. Bruce Van Allen, Signature’s former president, is the new group marketing director at BBA Aviation, and will remain a member of the company’s executive committee.
Dallas Airmotive, a BBA Aviation Engine Repair and Overhaul (ERO) company, has moved its Phoenix regional turbine center from Scottsdale Airpark to a new facility next to Deer Valley Airport. At 7,500 sq ft, the new facility is twice the size of the Deer Valley building.
