Hawker Beechcraft C99, Kearney, Neb., Jan. 6, 2010–The turboprop twin, operating under Part 135, was substantially damaged during a hard landing in IMC at Kearney Municipal Airport. The pilot reported that he cycled the de-icing boots before the final approach fix after noting light to moderate icing.
Eastham Aviation, a Houston owner of a Hawker Beechcraft Premier 1A, filed a complaint against Hawker Beechcraft on January 19, asking that the manufacturer take back the jet because of three alleged and irreparable instances of runaway rudder trim. Eastham purchased the jet in 2006.
“To better support our customers in India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, we have appointed Hugh Waud to serve as Hawker Beechcraft’s field service representative based in New Delhi, India,” said Christi Tannahill, vice president for global customer support. Waud will be based at Hawker Beechcraft’s authorized service center, InterGlobe General Aviation.

Hawker Beechcraft has delivered the first four of 15 Beechcraft T-6A military trainers scheduled to go to the Iraqi air force under the terms of a pair of contracts signed last August and September, the company announced here yesterday. Hawker Beechcraft King Air F90, Egelsbach, Germany, Dec. 7, 2009–The German-registered turboprop twin was destroyed and the flight crew and single passenger killed when it crashed into woods on final approach in what was characterized as “bad weather conditions.” The accident investigation is being conducted by the German government.
