Beech King Air E90, Bloomington, Ill., July 21, 2002–A private pilot and his sole passenger were killed when their Beech E90 (N12KA) crashed shortly after takeoff from Central Illinois Regional Airport (BMI) in Bloomington, Ill. N12KA, operated by Image Air, was destroyed when it hit the ground about one-third of a mile east of the departure end of Runway 20.

Lufthansa Technik Philippines (LTP) is claiming a larger share of Airbus A330/340 overhaul business following a deal with UK carrier bmi, which has become the Asian company’s fourth European customer. LTP, which is a 51:49 partnership between Lufthansa Technik and MacroAsia based at Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport, will provide IL (intermediate layover) heavy-maintenance checks for the airline’s three A330s.
