PrivatAir has ordered the first 787 Boeing Business Jet but has yet to decide whether to use the widebody for executive charter services, corporate shuttle operations or scheduled all-business-class flights on behalf of an airline. The Swiss group is set to receive the aircraft in 2012, by which time it will have decided on the cabin configuration and selected a completions supplier.

Brazilian OEM Embraer introduced its Lineage 1000 in May last year and a spokesman says the company has already taken orders for “more than five” of the twinjet bizliners, the first of which is scheduled for customer delivery in the middle of next year.
Abu Dhabi-based private charter operator Royal Jet has added two aircraft to its Boeing Business Jet (BBJ) fleet. The carrier, which began operations in May 2003, now owns and operates seven of the type. The two newly acquired Boeing 737 derivatives feature head-of-state standard cabin layout.
Boeing has chosen the new Jet Aviation Dubai facility as an authorized service center for the Boeing Business Jet, the companies announced here yesterday. The deal allows Jet Aviation to provide maintenance, repair and overhaul services as well as warranty work for the growing number of BBJ owners here in the Middle East. Jet Aviation Dubai joins the company’s other BBJ repair centers in Singapore, Geneva and Basel, Switzerland.
Abu Dhabi-based business aircraft operator Royal Jet yesterday signed up as an operator for Bombardier’s Skyjet International fixed-rate charter service. Customers will have access to Royal Jet’s newly delivered Challenger 300 business jet and to the rest of its fleet if it is not available. In the future, any new a Bombardier business aircraft added to Royal Jet’s fleet will become part of Skyjet.
