Cessna said Brazil is its leading market for jets outside the U.S., with an in-country fleet of more than 200 Citations. The Mustang accounts for approximately 10 percent of the Citation fleet in Brazil, with 22 of the entry-level jets in the hands of Brazilian customers. The Citation Sovereign and XLS+ are also popular in Brazil, Cessna said.

Gulfstream has received type certificate validation from the Civil Aviation Safety Authority of the Republic of Korea for the G550. Operators of the G550 and G500 can now register their aircraft in that country. In addition, the fleet of G550s and G500s in April surpassed 200,000 total flight hours since the first G550 entered service on Sept. 29, 2003.
Cambridge, UK-based Marshall Executive Aviation (MEA) (Booth Nos. 685/785) has added the first of three Cessna Citation XLS aircraft to its new charter operation. Skylliance, a charter partner program set up by Jet Aviation for smaller air-taxi companies and first announced at EBACE 2006, now has five members: Homac Aviation in Germany; GainJet in Greece; Spain’s Executive Airlines; Silver Cloud in Germany; and VIP Avia of Latvia. Members of Skylliance are required to apply operating standards defined by Jet Aviation aimed at providing consistent high-quality service.
Still factory fresh from Cessna is the new Citation Sovereign being shown in the EBACE static aircraft park by UK business aircraft charter and management firm Bookajet (Booth No. 1054). The company has added the aircraft, which could be joined in the fleet later by a second example, to provide longer-range capacity.
It is tempting to subscribe to the stereotypical view that if you need to ask how much business aviation costs then it isn’t for you. But Bookajet.com thinks that perspective is fundamentally wrong.
